О премии

Сиамская книжная премия проводится группой международных школьных библиотекарей в Таиланде. Награда призвана отметить выдающиеся достижения в мировой детской литературе и создать общее местное сообщество энтузиастов-читателей.

Премия была учреждена в 2017 году. До 2021 года награда носила название "Бангкокская книжная премия".

Программа награждения включает четыре номинации: «Книги с картинками» , «Книги для юных читателей», «Книги для подростков» и «Книги для молодёжи».

В шорт-лист включаются книги на английском языке, "опубликованные в течение последних пяти лет и способствующие разнообразию авторов, тем, жанров, сеттинга и стиля повествования".

Победителей во всех номинациях выбирают только читатели. Ежегодно в голосовании участвует почти три тысячи детей и подростков со всей страны.
