Robert Munsch wrote this story for Jamaal, a boy he met at the army base school at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, who was the oldest of his siblings and wanted his own big room too!

This story was inspiredby Donovan, a first-grader in in La Loche, Saskatchewan, a Chippewancommunity in northern Saskatchewan that Robert Munsch visited in January, 1990. When Robert asked what the kids liked to eat, Donovan said that he liked to eat BEAR!

On the way to school, Lacey meets a cat, a dog and an eagle. They all read her t-shirt, and give her a kiss! Then she meets a moose, who gives her a large wet moose kiss, right up the front of her face and over the top of her head. Lacey is thrilled - maybe this shirt is wonderful, not weird! This is a story about Lacey, a girl from Stewart, B.C. All the animals in the story are really in Stewart. Not near Stewart, IN Stewart. The day I made up this story the kids could not go out for recess because there were two grizzly bears on the playground. Lacey was in grade one and was wearing a t-shirt that said, GIVE ME A KISS HUG, says Robert Munsch.

Cassandra LOVES school so much she never, ever wants to leave!

Cassandra does not want to go home from school. She stays after the nice teacher
leaves. She stays while the janitor with a tattoo mops the floors. She stays after the
slightly scary principal turns off all the lights and goes home. She plays and reads
until after dark, when her mom and dad realize she is missing and come in a panic
to take her home.
The next day, Cassandra gets up, eats breakfast, gets on her bike and heads off to
school — but it is Saturday and all the doors and windows are locked. So on her
way back home she stops by the store and places an order.
The next day she looks out the window to find her purchase has been delivered —
there is a brand-new red-brick school with a nice teacher, a slightly scary principal,
and a janitor with tattoos in her very own backyard, so she can have school any
time she likes!
This story was written for Cassandra, a girl from Pickering, Ontario who said that
the most interesting thing about her was that she LOVED school!

This Munsch story is now a colourful, durable board book edition designed just for toddlers!

Ali and Kate are out snowmobiling with their dad when Ali yells "STOP!" She can't wait any more; she just has to jump in the snow.

Her sister Kate warns her that it's not a good idea because this is deep, deep, deeeeeeeep snow -- but Ali stands up on the seat, gives her best yell, and jumps out as far as she can!

Ali disappears down into a deep hole in the snow, and when her sister and dad try to get her out, things just get worse and worse and worse . . .

Robert Munsch wrote this story for a girl in Calgary, Alberta, who wrote to him and asked for a story about a girl going back and forth to her mom and dad's separate homes, just like her.

Neat! Neat! Snowy feet! Snowy feet can’t be beat! Wintertime is fun!

There’s a big blizzard blowing in, but that’s not going to stop Jasmine from going to school — it’s just a little snow, and it’s pizza day, after all! But as soon as she sets out the snow starts to come down faster and faster until she finds herself frozen stiff, with just her hat poking out of a snowdrift.

Rescue comes in the form of the school custodian, who stomps out on snowshoes, yanks her out, pulls her inside and figures out how to get her thawed. But on the way to her class they notice that the school is empty — the principal has declared a snow day! Which is always great news . . . but how is Jasmine going to get her pizza?

Miranda's dad is running his first big race, and Miranda is there to cheer him on. But wait.... Is it really the other way around?

Miranda’s dad is going to his very first marathon. But they get there late and Dad sends Miranda to get him some water. Before she can bring it back, the starter’s horn goes off and the runners are off!

Miranda takes the water bottle and dashes down the course looking for her dad. She runs up hills and down hills, and catches up with runners wearing tutus and vegetable costumes and normal clothes. She asks each one: “Have you seen my dad?” Some of the runners are nice, some ignore her, and some call her a pipsqueak, but none of them has seen her father.

Finally Miranda gets to the finish line, where she finds her father ... and gets a big surprise!

It's Pyjama Day, so Andrew brings his wonderful new pyjamas to school. But these pyjamas might be a little TOO perfect...
