О премии

Премия читателей «Книга - в мою сумку» — это английская ежегодная литературная награда, присуждаемая Ассоциацией книготорговцев в Великобритании и Ирландии. Её уникальность заключается в том, что курируется она книжными магазинами, а лауреатов выбирают читатели.

Премия была учреждена на конференции Ассоциации книготорговцев 2016 года с целью участия в ней самих читателей.

Награда призвана «отразить действительно разнообразные вкусы настоящих книголюбов и книжных магазинов, которые они любят посещать».

Сотрудники книжных магазинов, являющиеся членами Ассоциации книготорговцев, голосуют за финальный список книг, а победитель в каждой номинации выбирается публичным онлайн-голосованием. Ежегодно в голосовании принимает участие около сорока тысяч читателей.
